WOw, so hey guys - term has started!
ok that starts out with some bad capitilisation and optimism, but that's how I hope it will continue (the caps for the variation and the optimism because of proven track records)
ok so, right now I should be looking at work placement places - but I haven't because I've been lokign at music and perhaps i'll do that after this entry. Oh yeah it would help if I mentioned I'm going to work for a chemical company for 12 months as part of my 4th year, and a few of the deadlines are coming up.
Apart from the excitingness of starting 9-5 chemistry every day without distractions, I decided to get involved in a lot of societies, to distract me. Well, that's kinda what it feels like - but it also feels awesome. Finally I've taken a risk and joined some random ones: Student Newspaper - writing for the paper - I just spent a few hours listening to and reviewing an album, which wasn't that great much at all. But hopefully you can read it.
What popped into my mind there is how this is a totally public journal when the content is very much friend orientated. Ah well, crazy stalker, I hope you are nice and get to like me. Probably not through my writings though. So maybe I'll start up a professional blog. ugh blog what an ugly sounded word.
Also; I hope to get my own radio show by joining Fresh Air as well as the lovely people at People and Planet which seems to be the most exciting society yet. I've stuck true to my Tai Chi society, going to the pub with them, but want to check out the indiesoc tomorrow. The final one is a new one jsut started up which is EUSci a science journal aiming monthly I think.
I also got on the mailing list for the Humanist society - but I don't think I can ever make their meetings cause of class.
anyways, that is pretty much the most exciting thing that's happened to me recently - apart from seeing loads of mates back on the streets of edinburgh.

ok so today is my dad's birthday - but i declined his offer to go to the pub (which i kinda looked forward to) because i'm in edinburgh and have stuff to do.
admittedly i haven't done much, but i think i shall share some of my tasks to put them in perspective
1.Tidy the flat: my destructive flatmate had friends round last night and as usual, did a token tidy up and then fucked off for a few days. So the rest of us will have to clean it properly the rest of the night.
2.Tidy my room: it's quite organised on a basic level, but has got messy so spending half an hour to an hour on it will make it look a LOT better and I'll feel a bit more clean.
3.Sort out jobs: for the festival, for my 4th year placement. (requires a lot of thinking and stuff)
4.Sort out uni work: tidying up notes, making sure the shit grade i got was deserved and not folly, preparing for next year.
5.Do odds and ends around the house/ back home: fix printer, make newspaper cuttings, fix various things, get some boxes to organise stuff in etc
6.Sort out my choomputer: make HDD space more efficient, fix bugs, install better software, download more content.
7.Start long term things: playing guitar again, learn spanish, read the news, get fitter, learn more recipes, streamline down the about of money i spend.
anyways, listening to music distracts me from a lot of these, although it makes me feel so good. so i gotta purge my system one thing at a time.

So hey guys,
i can't remember the last time i updated *will check* but the academic year finished for me about a month ago. I studied pretty dmn hard for my exams, but results haven't come out yet. Lately I haven't been up to much, I know people in general are about in edinburgh - but i can't rememebr everyone who i tlaked to and said they would be - so i haven't really seen anyone, except for yesterday when i went to the meadows with a football, my flatmate and met up with some peeps: Poori, chemists and others.
Eh haven't really been up to much - but having to tidy up a lot. I feel some things ought to be done properly, and decluttering my life is definetely a good one. I have a real problem wiht chuckign things out, so i am tidying it up so that if i have a reason to get rid of it that will be easy.
most of the peeps on this are from glasgow and i wanna say hy to you guys. I can come through at a price to me, but anything important and i'm there! also i'll fill you in on when i'll be back for more than a few nights.
OO! I am going to Festival Internacionale de Benicassim with Chloe and Lindsay in July and jsut booked the flights there, so that should be good.

well, right now im' a bit stressed cause i'm actually having to hand stuff in and do work for the first time in a long time.

that's almost new years resolution time. I had a few lined up, but I can't quite remember them cause when it's time to party we will party hard and it is likely I am still drunk.

ok so so much crazy shit has happened to me, but i wanna fill you in on only the sketchyest of details.
like to day i goback to second year of uni yayfags!
last saturday a bottle of moet & chandon champagne was bought for my friend's 20th birthday, imanaged to sneak two glasses. btw this champage is better than sex peeps, it made me actually lie back and fuzz up inside. shame it's a lot more expensive :S
also it's pretty fucking cold right now, so im' gonna go get dressed.

oooft shower... for the first time today - over at my friends.
aparently there is a very unsafe leak onto some electricals downstairs s owe can't use the shower or bathroom
teh flat is in a reasonable state and i do invite people up alot so phone us.
emm gotta make dinner for myself now, freshers stuff to do afterwarss :D - proper update soon i promise. |

just thinking about things and i'm getting so nostalgic about school. how i missed those days of fun.
and now it just seems like soo much is happening and i have no clue as to what is going on.
when LJ was something that you had to catch up on if you missed it for one day.
when we had fun things happening in our lives every day.
frisbee, social area, ICE CREAM VAN! Chemistry banter.
seriously. i could go on.
but i am starting to forget so much stuff and it makes me sad.
ooft i'm starting to forget people and that's worse.
and now i'm becoming a slave to money, the distinct lack of which fills my days with worry and stops me from doing things, before they have even been suggested.
and alchohol this casually is not good. it makes it less special and fun.
and how when i see peopl i know i don't really know them i just used to know them but i don't want to let go because then my world will fall apart.
I know that that was a part of my life and it shapes who i am, but i want to find that fun in my life again and do crazy things every day.
instead i'm part of a horrible system that i know i need to change to make things better, but in doing so i'll lose my whole life. or at least it'll take my whole life to achieve maybe only a small part of making it better.
and onw i'm in a different city and i wanted it to be a cleansing thing, but i seemed to have cleaned away too much, eroded my base and left me ready to tumble. and the prospect of another 4 years at edinburgh seem very short. but it scares me, because that's almost a fifth of my life so far, but i know it will feel 100th as big.
and the music
has becom a part of me and i don't kknow.

has been quite a good one.
flatmatefinding is going great and we have found some quality people we jsut gotta pick from them all :S
there is gonna be some logistic worries with moving other people about and signing and stuff.
i managed to do some work this week, so now i can afford my deposit and any more money and i'm able to afford stuff :D
mitch is coming up this weekend, so if you want some love from the edinburgh gypsy from america give us a text.
i spent soem decent time with ciaran clearing out our storgae so 5 boxes of my stuff that i wondered where they got to are now back and needing investigated, so maybe there will be some legendary stuff there and maybe even find stuff i owe people who knows.

good evening.
i am poor.
no more mention.
my parents are both out the city, and have left me no food in fridge. so i had boiled eggs and salad for tea... and i'm hungry again.... so it's chips time.
right, i've been running about a bit but not relaly seen anyone. so if people sitll read this and wanna hang out maybe in the park or up someone's house then giveus ashout.
good news on the flat i've only got one more space to fill. Tom French sent me a message but, i dunno if i can be assed with him in my house lol.
so like.... i gotta sort shit out but like... life is moving too fast it seems. i mean i got stubble already and i only shaved what, yesterday. pppft old man times.

got up like half seven over to dawn for half eight *cough* quarter to nine. and into buchanan bus station for 9 thirty.
we didn't get onto the bus until 1130 and the queue like doubled behind us so we were lucky to get on in the time we did but we did meet Jazzo and his crew.
the bus journey consisted of alchohol, weed, plls, cigarettes, many toilet stops and general banter. behind us was Dougie and Dave the two man Rave which kept me amused for much length. But when it came around that the bus would be stuck in traffic for ages and all the drugs wore off everyone hit a bit of a downer. and i realised that holding in a pish for longer than 5 hours is not worth the bladder cancer.
so we decided to walk for a bit "it's only 10 miles" and we seen some waterfalls, sheep, horses, electricty pylons and a pretty sunset, as well as the satisfaction of walking past people stuck in their cars, we made it to the campsite in time to hear arctic monkeys finishing their set.
after a few phone calls, and a last carry through the mud of all our booze, we pitched up tent near mikey and fiona and adam and will and rory. Dawn went off partying and i tried to sleep but it was not happening with some random guy 'dave' having a big argument with himself.
I woke up to find my customized welly boots had been switched with a pair of non-customized, more expensive, non-fitting wellies. and that was rubbish, but we did get up in time to get teh front of the queue of letting-people-in-ness and bantered to some randoms.
Straight away after gettign in - headed to the clean toilets of the arena, where i spent most of the day feeling rubbish. then I headed off to see CSS, who totally lifted my spirits up, I also met Faye and her pals and we headed up to see Arcade Fire who just rocked the house down. There is one guy in the band whose job is to just go mental and hit random instruments.
Afterwards we caught up at My Chemical Romance who were alright and moved onto Klaxons who were just phenominal! and someone had a Badger (of ABS 'Badger Badger' fame) flag :D. Then I squeezed out to go off and see the Killlers, where i managed to hook up with WillyPiddock, Rory, Fi, Adam and Fi's friend who gave me water :D.
Killers though were such a great sing along, teh keyboard covered with antlers. but Flowers should NOT have any facial hair it looks WRONG on him. but the extra half hour was right.
Sat night we went off to the Duracell tent and on the way bumped into Mhairi and her pals, who we took along. The tent played such shit music though so i couldn't stand it and went along to the bar and bantered a bit. I also had earplugs and so slept like a fucking baby.
Sunday I got up early to charge my phone. waited 2 hours till the guys shook off their hangovers and bantered with some guys from Sheffield who were a good laugh. also seen a drunk guy gettign tipped over as he slept in his chair then on the ground.
sunday i was a bit later getting into the arena, but after having a shit i managed to catch the end of we are the physics - a glasgow band who i'm gonna see next time they come home. went up to the slam tent with dawn, was a bit shit but seen some school folks, came outside and realisd i'd heavily sunburnt myself the day before. most of sunday wasspent under wet cloth, but did see shitloads of bands. a bit of Avril, some Just Jack (vgood), Enter Shikari, Chelsea Dagger, The End of Biffy Clyro, Maximo Park, INTERPOL, and i stayed for Kasabian but was defo in the mood for Snow Patrol instead.
Sunday night i found my way back to the tent and then went out party mongering and found Mhairi's pal's and brought my wine along and ashamedly got wasted too fast for my liking. the banter was awesome though and many a mother was had.
The way back though was amazingly easy: dry soil, onepointfive hour bus ride and only a short wait for my mum to let me in, at which i promptly fell asleep for a good 18 hours.
today i woke up fuckign confused and tired and hungry, 've proabyl had 5 meals or somethign today - but see from carrying that stuff i'm fuckign ripped :D
anyways. tomorrow i get back into normal bleh stuff.
make things exciting again.
also i don't think i'll go back to T next year.
